“China the new Greece”
Nonsense, China doesn’t have any foreign debt, it has piles of dollars, so big that not even Soros dare to take on their pegged currency. China operate its domestic economy in its own sovereign currency, Greece use a foreign. It’s not even comparable, Varoufakis knows that so he is talking BS.
It moving rapidly up the R&D chain investing to have top notch universities and so on. It invests on a global scale to build “silk road” infrastructure, it plan to build transcontinental railway in Africa and so on. And it's armed with quality nukes.
China is the new Greece, come on.

Despite that he is good charismatic speaker and very knowledgeable but some of his analysis is off, like about China. And probably so on his prediction of catastrophe in Europe and the world if the present EU disintegrate, there is fall back stops, all of them are signers of WTO agreements, there is common ground in European institutions separate from EU.
He was wrong about negotiate something reasonable for Greece. He was probably wrong that Greece could have continued opposing the troika without leaving the EZ. -
He says the truth.

It reminds me of Robocop 2 where the Mayor says “How are we supposed to raise that kind of money with things the way they are?” and the Old Man says “You aren’t. We’re taking Detroit private.”

Great speech! The world has become smaller for me now and more personal. Rich /poor, resources/people power, aggrandizement/over borrowing, human nature/basic needs...Is there a financial system that will treat all people of the world fairly? I think we need to become a lot more spiritual to be able to see the problems from a global perspective. Corporate control, however, by its nature is self-serving, and oligarchical with minions at it's disposal.

Compromise..? You can see what lack thereof has done for the GOP in the United States....Ronald McDonald is now their presidential candidate....ouch. What a clown and what an ass of America Bush made attacking Iraq....the shit is still sliding downhill for his party. Hillary should be in the politburo ... where is Bernie?? Help!!!

he hits on a profoundly important point here, one that we are experiencing as well. the elites that run the society we live in aren't crazy, or incompetent. they know full well the policies and programs being implemented aren't viable, but they've invested so much political capital into selling these policies to the population, that admitting they dont work essentially destroys their credibility and will destroy their party. So what's being done is an attempt to blame the problems we have on anything and everything except the policies they trumpeted 30 years ago. this is a huge problem, because we as a people now must face the reality that even though they know the train is headed off the cliff, they wont stop it. they've literally lied themselves into a corner and are damned either way. if they reverse policy, they're deligitimized. if they dont, things will collapse and they will be deligitimized.
the implications of this are pretty simple. WE have to force them to change the system, because they wont do it on their own. -

It's "The Great Banking Heist Of The World", all economic crisis is design by the money makers. The game is to get you in debt and then buy you out. Through inflation they steal the value of your money and make you poor and then give you paper money for your house. That' is what they are doing on the level of countries. Now they are racing time because they have to own the world before everyone wakes up. The solution is stop letting them print the money and print paper money to pay them back before they own the world. Maybe we are too late, in the case we kill them.

Yanis is a great mind in Economics but not a politician. He is excusing his inability to negotiate on behalf of Greece - bought the country to its knees without his ineptitude to negotiate. Yanis cant keep beating this drum forever - he is now irrelevant in European economics and should retire peacefully now,

No one wants to hear the truth if it isn't what they want to hear
bravo form Cyprus -
the difference between lending and giving money is that lending means you have to pay back the loans.

debt creates SLAVERY.

Brilliant speech. Very interested to learn about Diem25. In the light of Brexit decision by UK people, perhaps a 10-20 year adoption of the UK Pound might work for Greece during which time the Euro might be replaced by "The New Euro". http://diem25.org

Dear Yanis, the best what Greece can do now is to leave de EU as soon as possible. It cannot compet with the german economy, which has groven strong togehter with the economies of other dear friends of them, not necessarily in the EU, by enslaving the poorer countries of this false union. It is obviously an atempt towards the NWO. The final pretention here is to destroy the whole world in any form. Therefore, if you are concerned about Greece living the Eurozone, there will be no place left to invest in other counrties because all of them will follow the same destiny.

I just learned something INCREDIBLE! For those of you who have a 401K, did you know that you can use that money-with out tax penalty-to start a business? What if your "business" was teaching people how to be prepared, or maybe selling organic food that you grow? Let's say you have $100K in your 401K. You could invest part or all of that in the new corporation that you create, purchase all of the prep gear you need to be a prep consultant, or aquaponics system distributor, organic food seller, etc. This money could include a salary to a family member to run the business. Now, what if the whole economy collapses and/or your business fails? Bummer, but, your company is still in possession of an off-grid food production system and all of the prep gear... hmm??
