For people who may not know Brooklyn is very big and from Luke's last nameIm pretty sure he didn't grow up in a neighborhood where people where just shooting at random with witnesses like look wheeling the act. I like his videos but don't try and capitalize on Brooklyn rep by claiming you grew up rough and from the streets.

Is that jerk smoking a cigarette? And Luke where in Brooklyn? You saw people shot? Really?

This is the US fault . Obama intervened in their government. I feel so bad I hope they get help . The US was almost going to be Venezuela. The US Banned them trump has to change that When he's in office and bring them here :(. Thank God Trump won

The thing with Venezuela is that it's a beautiful country ruined by the government. All that you expirienced there was because of the criminal government, they do whatever they want with it ... I know that this may sound stupid but when I lived ,there everything was fine ( not great or wonderful but fine ) because of the president that was in charge at that point .But now the political situation is horrible because the spot ( of the president ) has been transfered to this very stupid guy which knows nothing about government . If i were the president , i would at least use my common sense unlike maduro (the current president). I will always love my country even though the stupid little rats of the government are making it garbage

Wait what? Venezuelans are not friendly and do not look at each other to the eyes, it's hard to believe. I live in Venezuela and of course people is not happy but we are friendly. We do try our best to help everyone and always (most of Venezuelans) saying hello and bye and being polite. Besides that the whole video is really accurate

I don't know why the one guy made the offensive comment about Donald Trumps like Trump would be a socialist like they have in Venezuela. Obviously he knows more about Trump now then he did when he filmed this back in April. Seems he knew Trump would win. We're all into winning.
I am trying so hard to have sympathy for these folks but they voted for it. They VOTED for it. They had it good for a very long time. They got so many things for free. We will never have this in the United States and once we get rid of Obozo our country will prosper. Right now he is hell-bent on destroying OUR economy before he leaves office. Hopefully Trump will turn this around. -
ZIMBABWE FACED A WORSE HYPER INFLATION AND THEY WERE NOT SOCIALIST.

global elites have a history of trying to crush 'sociaiist' countries then blaming the fall on the ideology of socialism. The elites are far more powerful than the government of this little country. And they don't want 'little' countries to be ruled by their people.
They want a global monopoly. Period. It's impossible to see who is really responsible for the state of this country. Have they been refusing to be enslaved by outside money lenders? And what are the ramifications of that? -
Socialism or not, when people trust their government too much, this is what happens. There has to be a balance, too much of anything is not good. When you trust a business man too much in world of capitalism, you will also suffer. We need philosophers, we need doctors, we need government, we need business people, we need religion, we need culture. We need to learn from one another. No criminals should run a country, otherwise, it's no longer a country.

Socialism all, over but as long as the army is fed it will go on.

You said something that I have been saying for a long time: the high crime rates are a deterrent fomented by the government to impede any progress, black market surges, or just the faint sign of living a little better than your neighbour. It's impossible to simply concede to the idea that crime can be attributed to a broken judiciary and corrupt police; keeping the judicial system that way for such a time is in itself a policy--a tool that helps in driving crime rates sky high. Of course, pro-government militia thugs are entrusted with expropriation (like the building at the beginning of the video) and other acts which are nothing short of grand larceny. In a nutshell, chavismo, or 21st century socialism, is basically driving everyone in Venezuela to become poor, rationed government puppets while a 'red kleptocracy' develops at the top. But chavismo wasn't born out of nothing--the very parties that want to oust Maduro and his thieves today are the very ones whose 40 years of free market kleptocracy and deleterious lack of patriotism drove millions into Chavez's arms. Venezuela cannot exist by channeling oil dollars into cheap/free food and services, nor can Venezuela become socialist/marxist when the entire world is headed towards a kind of 'bridled' laissez faire capitalism. People need discipline, a government that helps the poor to learn and train for a trade or job, and allow investments and diversification of the economy. But mind you, the first thing is--discipline--the fatherland, the family, and work. If they keep languishing like third-world subsidized moochers waiting for Capriles or Lopez or god knows what US-washed up puppet, or some Cuban-style macho to come and rule them, then the people and the country are lost. Discipline comes by suppressing democracy, and until the people learn that their country, families, education and labor are the priorities, then they cannot toy with the concept and allow scoundrels like Maduro or Capriles run the show. They must learn to work hard and learn the hard way before they can play 'democracy.'

Socialism does not fail as much as it is under constant attack all the time throughout history. There has not been a particular moment in history where socialism was led to peacefully develop and evolve, unlike capitalism.

TO ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE COMMENT SECTION. THAT SAY THIS IS NOT SOCIALISM. OH REALLY....YOU KNOW HOW WE AMERICANS (USA) JUDGE WHETHER SOMETHING IS SOCIALIST OR NOT. GUN BANS. THAT IS THE ONLY THING I NEED TO JUDGE THE COUNTRY BY... ONLY CRIMINALS HAVE THE RIGHT TO PROTECT THEMSELVES. CORRUPTION TO THE CORE. When europeans try to argue. It is like talking to a brainwashed sheep. Your education system screwed your head up. You just can't see it.
-
"no racism allowed" isn't that like a universal rule already, not that we follow it but.....eh.
-
Bullshit, I felt safer in Caracas than in the US. And the girls are a million times hotter in Venezuela...
-
What I don't get is with such hyper inflation, why are we not seeing massive deaths from starvation? Or massive homelessness? I mean the average person surely doesn't have a suitcase of money for daily groceries.
-
As dangerous as Chicago !!!!
-
I have a question for you: I grew up in a socialist country and my ideas are completely different than yours. Bernie Sanders, should not be compared with Venezuela. That shows ignorance. Instead of going that far south to show examples of socialism, why don't you go up north from the US? Canada is a socialist country! One of the healthiest, most peaceful countries in the world. Why aren't you making that comparison?

Socialism has Nothing to do with this. You damn americans are always blaming communist for everything...
